EN-593 compliance: Our Wafer style butterfly valves comply with EN-593 regulations, guaranteeing their quality and effectiveness in hydraulic applications.
Mounting Length according to EN 558-1 and API 609: The mounting length of our valves is fully in line with the guidelines of EN 558-1 Series 20 and API 609, making it easy to integrate into existing systems.
Gray Cast Iron Manufacturing: The gray cast iron manufacturing provides these valves with resistance and durability, crucial characteristics for complex environments.
Stainless Steel Closing Disc Option: We offer the option of a stainless steel closing disc, which increases corrosion resistance and extends the useful life of the valve.
ISO 5211 Top Flange: Our Wafer style butterfly valves incorporate a top flange that meets ISO 5211, simplifying the installation of actuators and other additional components.
Mounting between flanges according to UNE-EN 1092-2: These valves are designed for mounting between flanges according to UNE-EN 1092-2 regulations in pressure classes PN10 and PN16, in addition to complying with ANSI 150 lbs. regulations.
Temperature Range: Our valves are versatile in terms of temperatures, with elastomers available in NBR (80 ºC), EPDM (100 ºC) and FKM (Viton ®) (200 ºC). This ensures perfect performance in various conditions.

Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our butterfly valve is a wafer connection type and is sandwiched between two pipe flanges. Long bolts that run through the entire valve body connect both pipe flanges. This type of connection is suitable for sealing against bidirectional differential pressures and preventing backflow in systems designed for universal flow.

It is a very popular quarter-turn, two-way, resilient-seated valve for on-off or modulating services. It is centered (concentric) whose axis is located in the center of the disc, which is centered on the inside with respect to the X, Y axes. The tightness is optimal and it is a suitable valve for low pressure ranges. It is lightweight, takes up little installation space, has a lower cost, works quickly and is available with large hole sizes. The disc is connected to a shaft that when the valve opens the disc rotates to allow the passage of fluid and closes when the shaft rotates the disc to a position perpendicular to the direction of flow.

We have a standard construction in the small and medium passages with a manual operation lever that allows the valve to be blocked in the open or closed position and in the large passages the standard operation is with a stress gear box. Both options are inexpensive and easy to handle.

For all steps, we offer options with motorized actuators (single-phase or three-phase electric and double- or single-acting pneumatics) thanks to the fact that the upper flange that the valve has is in accordance with international standard ISO 5211, which specifies the requirements for fixing fractional actuators. return to industrial valves. These actuators are a reliable method of controlling the valve from a remote location as well as allowing large valves to be quickly actuated. Actuators can be mounted on the valve for fail-open (the valve is always open if the actuator fails), or fail-close (the valve is always closed if the actuator fails).

This butterfly valve is used for water treatment, wastewater, irrigation and in various industries and industrial applications. Not recommended for bulk solids

IMPORTANT: Both during storage and when assembling it, the Butterfly valve must always be ajar, to avoid in the first case deformations of the elastic seat (elastomer) and during assembly to avoid tensions or forces that prevent proper centering and fastening that Do not let the valve close properly.
