Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our flanged disc check valve is assembled with a disc and a cast arm balanced by a steel shaft. On opening, the disc moves away from the seat to allow forward flow and when the flow stops, the flapper returns to the initial position (closed position) and thus blocks the return of flow.

The disc or clapper acts as a shutter and does so thanks to the force of gravity, so it will be important to place them in the correct position since, otherwise, the installation will not work properly and breakdowns will appear.

Its design guarantees a low pressure loss, total flow of fluid and minimum pressure for opening and closing.

It is the ideal solution to protect against any downstream reflux, to be placed at the end of the network line in ponds, lakes, rivers, water treatment plants, etc. In general, the best place to place it in a system is near the end of the suction tube, inside the tank and opposite where the pump is located. In this way, the installation remains full of water or liquid and does not lose pressure.
