Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our single-acting suction cup is designed to extract air from small-flow plumbing elements in pipes, filters, ponds and other places where its presence may cause operating problems. Expel any existing air that accumulates during normal operation of the installation. The suction cup is located at the exit of pipes whose slope varies with the hydraulic level, at points where the pipe rises above ground level, in branches with uniform slope, at the entrance of measuring instruments, at the exit of valves . reducers, diameter reductions, pumps and filtering systems. It will always be placed in a vertical position for correct operation and for maintenance and cleaning it is recommended to place a shut-off valve so as not to stop the installation. They will not be used to inject air into the line.

It has a very good seal even at low pressures and is very easy to disassemble for cleaning if necessary, it prevents breakage due to air accumulation, making it exit the pipe at the same speed that the water enters, eliminating air pockets. . in high points and problems due to vacuum formation.

When the thrust caused by the amount of air accumulated inside the suction cup is greater than the thrust exerted by the water on a floating ball, it lowers and the suction cup begins to expel air through the holes in the lid on the upper part of the suction cup and as the air rises, the suction cup fills again with water until its thrust is greater than the weight of the ball, pushing it against the rubber gasket and closing the suction cup.

The threaded end of the suction cup body conforms to DIN 259 / ISO 228-1 standards (BSP / Gas thread).
