Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our rotary pneumatic actuators with rack and pinion system can be Double and Single acting. They are robust and compact, ideal for the automation of any type of 90° turn valve (ball valves, butterfly valves), thanks to the fact that they have a connection in accordance with ISO 5211 standard, which is the international standard that specifies the requirements for fixing actuators. fraction of turn to industrial valves. These actuators are a reliable method of controlling the butterfly or ball valve from a remote location. They can be designed for fail-open (remain open in case of actuator failure), fail-close (remain closed in case of actuator failure).

We offer the possibility of external adjustment of the piston stroke in opening or closing, changing the configuration from double to single acting or vice versa easily and quickly by simply removing the covers and adding or removing the necessary number of springs.

They have anti-corrosion protection, have a hard anodized extruded aluminum body, non-ejectable shaft, injected aluminum alloy covers protected with epoxy-polyester, injected aluminum alloy pistons, carbon steel + chemical nickel pinion, coated steel springs epoxy resin, NBR sealing gaskets (VITON or EPDM on request),    position indicator, ISO 5211, DIN 3337, NAMUR VDI/VDE 3845, ATEX – 2014/34/EU and IP-67.

With adonizing (electrolytic process) an anodic coating with a hardness of up to 50 microns thick is produced. This protection has great resistance to immersion in a salt fog chamber, Chlorine and the stress of corrosive cracking.

More features are:

Filtered, dry or lubricated compressed air supply, minimum pressure 2 bar (Double effect “DA”), 3 bar (Single effect “SE”), maximum pressure 8 bar.
Lubrication carried out in the factory and guaranteed for a minimum of 1,000,000 maneuvers.
Sliding pads made of low friction coefficient material to avoid metal-metal contact, easily replaceable for maintenance.
Double bottom drilling for anchoring and centering the valve according to ISO 5211 and DIN 3337.
Female square shaft lower connection according to ISO 5211/DIN 3337 for mounting at 45° or 90° either.
Assembly of accessories according to NAMUR VDI/VDE 3845 standard.
Working temperature: -20°C to +80°C.

The internal capacity in liters of the Double-acting “DA” actuators is understood as approximate, for the Single-acting “SE” actuators the volume is variable depending on the number of springs. The opening and closing times and weights of the double- and single-acting actuators are approximate with twelve springs.

In its standard version, the double-acting actuator is supplied for counterclockwise rotation, when air pressure is applied to the left port (as we look at the actuator from the front) the shaft rotates in that direction. When air is applied to the right port the shaft will rotate clockwise. Upon request the pistons can be reversed.

The single acting actuator is supplied for clockwise rotation in air failure mode.
