Description

Our double-acting (or automatic) suction cup has two functions: first, it extracts air from the pipe while it is filled with fluid in such a way that when it reaches the inside of the suction cup, the floating ball rises, pushing it against the rubber gasket and closure taking place. And, on the other hand, it prevents the crushing that can occur due to depression, since, if it occurs, the ball falls away from the rubber gasket and opens the seal, allowing outside air to enter the pipe to establish the pressure at its interior.

Unlike the single-acting suction cup, this double-acting one allows the entry of air mass to empty the pipes and has a single closure that expels the kinetic and residual air, all automatically and without the pressure of the water. may prevent these functions. It is indicated in irrigation installations, with changes in slope and in installations with long sections (500 m or more).

The suction cup is located at the exit of pipes whose slope varies with the hydraulic level, at points where the pipe rises above ground level, in branches with uniform slope, at the entrance of measuring instruments, at the exit of valves. reducers, diameter reductions, pumps and filtering systems. It will always be placed in a vertical position for correct operation and for maintenance and cleaning it is recommended to place a shut-off valve so as not to stop the installation.

It prevents pipe breaks due to overpressure, water stagnation due to depression, reduces pressure losses in the pipes and increases efficiency in water transport.

The suction cup body flange complies with UNE-EN 1092-2 PN10 standard.
