Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our bridge valve is of ductile construction and is a valve that, due to its construction, is suitable for special executions where a highly robust valve is needed due to the unfavorable conditions of pressure, temperature and hardness of the fluid.

Basically it is a valve whose operation is carried out by a threaded spindle that ascends a bridge that has two interchangeable threaded brass nuts housed in the upper part. This spindle is joined by a cast disc and its hardware to another disc or plate with a rubber sealing gasket that rises and falls as the valve is operated, closing and opening.

This plate closes the passage of water in a seat that is horizontal and that in the standard construction is an EPDM gasket that closes on a stainless steel ring nailed to the base.

To activate the valve we can do it either with a handwheel or an electric actuator. The base is a flange drilled according to UNE-EN 1092-2 PN-10/16.
