CHARACTERISTICS:

  • EN-593 Compliance: Our slotted butterfly valves comply with EN-593 regulations, which guarantees their quality and efficiency in hydraulic applications.
  • Ductile Cast Iron Construction: Ductile cast iron construction provides these valves with robustness and durability, making them ideal for demanding environments.
  • Grooved Ends to ISO 6182 and AWWA C606: Our grooved butterfly valves are designed with grooved ends to ISO 6182 and AWWA C606, making it easy to connect to grooved piping systems and ensuring quick and safe installation.
  • Top Flange according to ISO 5211: Slotted butterfly valves have a top flange that complies with ISO 5211, allowing the installation of actuators and other components easily.
  • Temperature Range with EPDM Coating: Our valves can operate at temperatures up to 100ºC with EPDM coating, making them suitable for applications where high temperature resistance is required.

Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our Grooved Butterfly Valve with Grooved Union System (Victaulic®) is a two-way, concentric valve that provides a self-centering union that allows for greater flexibility of movement and quick, secure installation, making repairs and maintenance easy. In addition, they guarantee a leak-resistant, watertight connection and an alternative to pipe joints without the need for welding or threads. Grooved ends are machined to FM/UL standards. The slotted joint system reduces noise and vibrations throughout the installation.

It adapts perfectly to low and medium pressurization systems. The operating lever allows the valve to be quickly maneuvered in opening and closing.

It is a very popular quarter-turn, two-way, resilient-seated valve for on-off or modulating services. It is centered (concentric) whose axis is located in the center of the disc, which is centered on the inside with respect to the X, Y axes. The tightness is optimal and it is a suitable valve for low pressure ranges. It is light, takes up little installation space, has a lower cost, and works quickly. The disc is connected to a shaft that when the valve opens the disc rotates to allow the passage of fluid and closes when the shaft rotates the disc to a position perpendicular to the direction of flow.

We have a standard construction in the small and medium passages with a manual operation lever that allows the valve to be blocked in the open or closed position and in the large passages the standard operation is with a stress gear box. Both options are inexpensive and easy to handle.

We offer options for all steps with motorized actuators (single-phase or three-phase electric and double- or single-acting pneumatics) thanks to the fact that the flange on its upper part is in accordance with international standard ISO 5211, which specifies the requirements for fixing fraction actuators. back to industrial valves. These actuators are a reliable method of controlling the valve from a remote location as well as allowing large valves to be quickly actuated. Actuators can be mounted on the valve for fail-open (the valve is always open if the actuator fails), or fail-close (the valve is always closed if the actuator fails).

This butterfly valve is used for water treatment, wastewater, irrigation and in various industries and industrial applications.

IMPORTANT: Both during storage and when assembling it, the Butterfly valve must always be ajar, to avoid in the first case deformations of the EPDM coating of the flap and during assembly to avoid tensions or forces that prevent proper centering and fastening that Do not let the valve close properly.
