Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our single-phase electric actuators are robust and compact, ideal for the automation of any type of 90° turn valve (ball valves, butterfly valves), thanks to the fact that they have a connection in accordance with ISO 5211, which is the international standard that specifies the requirements for the fixing part-turn actuators to industrial valves. These actuators are a reliable method of controlling the butterfly or ball valve from a remote location.
Main features:

MULTI-VOLTAGE
This system controls and transforms the current input, if necessary, to 24 VDC, which is the voltage at which all the motors of our actuators are powered.
S Models
S-20, S-35, S-55, S-85, S-140 and S-300 support 24 VAC/VDC power up to 240 VAC / VDC.
Models B
B-20, B-35, B-55, B-85, B-140 and B-300 support 12 VAC/VDC power only.

VISUAL OPERATION CONTROL
Constantly illuminated external LED indicates normal operation of the actuator. There are different LED flash color frequencies that indicate the status of the actuator.

ELECTRONIC TORQUE LIMITER
To prevent damage to the unit or the valve, the actuators have an electronic torque control system that stops the operation of the actuator when it detects a motor power consumption greater than allowed, releasing the pressure of the gears to facilitate the activation of the control emergency manual (MO) and, at the same time, the external LED emits a frequency of colored flashes, indicating that the actuator has stopped due to excess torque.

RELEASEABLE MANUAL EMERGENCY CONTROL
Placing the lever in MANUAL automatically disconnects the electrical system from the gear train and the valve can be operated manually. If after doing this, the lever is not returned to the AUTO position and a maneuver signal is sent to open or close the valve, the actuator will not move and the LED will flash frequently indicating that the actuator is in manual position .

LOW VOLTAGE TIME
Total maneuver time before starting the new maneuver, that is, the time in motion plus the time the actuator must be stopped. It is generally measured in %. It is important to know the total time of the maneuver to calculate the valve opening and closing process.

AUXILIARY MICRO SWITCHES
The actuator is equipped with 4 micro-switches: 2 for stopping the motor and 2 voltage-free auxiliary switches for transmitting the open or closed position signal (on-off).

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A thermostatically controlled 3.5W heater automatically maintains the interior temperature above 68°F (20°C) to prevent damage from condensation. Never disconnect the power at the end of the maneuver as we will disconnect the ATC.
