Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our PN25 double flap check valve features a simple, reliable and compact design that allows the fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in a single direction, allowing flow in that direction and automatically preventing return flow (backflow). reverse) when the fluid in the line changes direction.

The two discs are opened by the pressure of the circulating fluid, allowing the fluid to pass in the desired direction. When the flow stops, the valve closes quickly with the help of the closing spring, thus preventing reverse flow. The grooved vulcanized nitrile sealing gasket ensures perfect sealing and makes it suitable for a wide variety of working fluids. It has an O-ring on each face that allows direct installation to flanges without the need for gaskets.

It will be important to take into account when placing it, that the arrow engraved on its body indicates the direction of the fluid, that the inner diameter of the flange does not become an impediment so that the two discs can open correctly, that they are not installed where there is intermittent flow, that the valve is correctly aligned with the pipe, and care must be taken not to bring heat sources close to the rubber seats.

This type of valve is designed to operate efficiently in horizontal or vertical pipelines (upward or downward fluid direction), has a long service life and operates easily, even under low pressure conditions.
