Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our manual pressure testing pump is a plumbing tool that is used to create pressure so that it can be tested, adjusted and calibrated in water or oil piping systems and heating or cooling systems to check their tightness and prevent and detect leaks.

Its design makes it easy to perform pressure checks quickly and accurately. It comes with a long hose suitable for withstanding high pressure that can be easily and directly attached to the pipe. We have two models with a working pressure of 25 bar, one and 75 bar.

We must first install the pressure gauge and the hose with their respective joints and then connect the other end of the hose to the system to be tested and we will proceed to pumping. Once the required pressure in the system has been reached, we will take a reading of the pressure gauge and carry out the corresponding check. Once the test is over, we will open the discharge cock that the pump has to lower the pressure.

Maintenance is simple and is basically reduced to cleaning the internal fluid that may have passed through the pump. It is important to use fluids that are not corrosive or that can leave internal parts of the pump stuck. We will also lubricate the piston with not very dense SAE 30 oil and replace the gasket when we notice that the pump begins to lose pressure.
