Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our three-phase electric actuators are robust and compact, ideal for the automation of any type of 90° turn valve (ball valves, butterfly valves), thanks to the fact that they have a connection in accordance with ISO 5211, which is the international standard that specifies the requirements for the fixing part-turn actuators to industrial valves. These actuators are a reliable method of controlling the butterfly or ball valve from a remote location.

Main features:

All actuators include motor with thermal protection, emergency flywheel gearbox, limit switches, torque switches (for torque greater than 150 Nm), output drive with removable socket and anti-condensation heater. They are lubricated for the entire life of the product and do not require special service.

Operating torque 1,000 Nm in direct mounting and up to 10,000 Nm with reducer.

Adapted to process requirements:

On-Off function: class A actuators conforming to the EN15714-2 standard.
Inching-positioning function: Class B actuators that comply with EN15714-2 standard.

Die-cast aluminum, cover fixed with stainless screws and epoxy powder coating as standard with C4 protection according to ISO 12944.

Weather resistance IP68, NEMA 4X as standard, relative humidity from 0 to 95% and temperature range from -20 to +70°C.

Three-phase asynchronous or induction motor, which consists of an AC alternating current motor in which the electric current required to produce the rotor torque is induced by electromagnetic induction of the magnetic field of the alternator coils that are fed by a system of three three-phase voltages that are out of phase with each other by 120 ̊ forming a star. It has class F insulation with built-in thermal overload protection. The actuators can operate on three-phase power at 50 or 60 Hz with pre-wiring available as an option from AQ5 to AQ80 for single-phase 230V 50/60Hz, single-phase 115-120V 50/60Hz and DC. They have internal grounding.

Mechanical self-locking of the actuator with manual emergency operation by means of a steering wheel with automatic release.

Conduit entries 2 x M20 as standard (or 2 x 3/4”).

Limit switches actuated by adjustable cam block. Two SPDT switches as standard (Opening and Closing) + two auxiliary switches (for signaling). Mechanical position indicator.

Factory calibrated torque limiting system available from AQ25 onwards. Two series switches (1 in opening and 1 in closing) SPDT; 250VAC5Amax (resistive load). Adjustable torque from 40 to 100% of maximum torque (intrusive adjustment).

Quick and easy adjustment to valve position and torque cam blocks with a standard screwdriver.
