Our wafer-type disc check valve does not need to be in a specific position. This is because, unlike a swing check valve, it does not operate by the action of gravity. Our disc check valve has a spring with a certain level of stiffness that holds a single disc in place above the sealing ring; when fluid\u2014usually water\u2014reaches it, its pressure overcomes the spring\u2019s resistance, allowing the fluid to flow in that direction. However, if the fluid attempts to flow backward in the opposite direction, it cannot do so due to the spring\u2019s action. <\/p>\n

It is a spring-loaded valve that allows flow in only one direction, prevents damage caused by backflow, and can be easily installed for use in low-pressure applications, such as process lines, water, steam, gas, and oil systems.<\/p>\n
