Our flanged check valve, also known as a swing check valve, consists of a disc and a cast iron arm balanced by a steel shaft. When opening, the disc moves away from the seat to allow forward flow, and when the flow stops, the disc returns to its initial position (closed position), thereby blocking the reverse flow. <\/p>\n

The disc or flap acts as a shut-off valve, relying on the force of gravity to do so; therefore, it is important to position them correctly, since otherwise the system will not function properly and malfunctions will occur.<\/p>\n

Its design ensures low pressure drop, full flow, and minimal pressure required for opening and closing.<\/p>\n

It is the ideal solution for protecting against any backflow downstream, to be installed at the end of the distribution line in ponds, lakes, rivers, water treatment plants, etc. In general, the best place to install it in a system is near the end of the suction pipe, inside the tank, and opposite the pump.
