Our wafer-style double-disc check valve features a simple, reliable, and compact design that allows the fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction, allowing flow in that direction and automatically preventing backflow (reverse flow) when the fluid in the line changes direction. The two discs open under the pressure of the circulating fluid, allowing the fluid to flow in the desired direction. When the flow stops, the valve closes quickly with the help of the closing spring, thus preventing backflow. The vulcanized nitrile sealing ring in the groove ensures a perfect seal and makes it suitable for a wide variety of working fluids. It has an O-ring on each side, allowing for direct installation onto flanges without the need for gaskets. During installation, it is important to ensure that the arrow engraved on the body indicates the direction of fluid flow, that the inner diameter of the flange does not prevent the two discs from opening properly, that the valve not be installed where there is intermittent flow, that the valve be properly aligned with the pipe, and care must be taken not to place heat sources near the rubber seats. This type of valve is designed to operate efficiently in horizontal or vertical pipes (with the fluid flowing upward or downward), has a long service life, and operates smoothly, even under low-pressure conditions.
