Aplications

Foot valves are commonly used in ponds, swimming pools, wells and almost anywhere there is a pump.

The surface or opening of the foot valve is larger than that of the pipe, thereby minimizing pressure loss (energy dissipated due to friction along the pipe).

Description

Our caps (squares) are mounted on the shaft of the inner spindle gate valves and on the extension shafts so that it can be maneuvered using our standard T-wrench.

We have a wide variety of caps made of ductile iron, both for our resilient seated gate valves and for the metal seats gate valves with the inner spindle.

Our caps are attached to our valves in two ways: by an allen screw in the upper central part of the cap that would be threaded into the valve shaft in the same place where the flywheel was attached, or by a side hex screw in the lower part that would act as a prisoner against the spindle.
