Our single-disc check valve is designed to prevent backflow in piping systems and is manufactured as a single-piece, circular body with a thin sealing disc in the center of the body. This sealing disc is held in a central position by screws and small plates connected to the flange. This check valve uses a nitrile O-ring in a groove that ensures a perfect seal and makes it suitable for a wide variety of working fluids. It has an O-ring on each face, allowing for direct installation onto flanges without the need for gaskets. When the disc opens, it moves away from the seat to allow flow forward, and when the flow stops, the disc returns to its initial position (closed position), thereby blocking the return flow. The disc or flap acts as a shut-off valve, relying on the force of gravity to do so; therefore, it is important to position it correctly, since otherwise the system will not function properly and malfunctions will occur. During installation, it is important to take into account the direction of fluid flow and ensure that the inner diameter of the flange does not prevent the closing disc from opening properly; that it not be installed where intermittent flow occurs, that the valve be properly aligned with the piping, and care must also be taken not to place heat sources near the rubber seats. This type of valve is designed to operate efficiently in horizontal or vertical pipes (with the fluid flowing upward or downward), has a long service life, and operates smoothly, even under low-pressure conditions.
